ASSIS

ASSIS is a civil society initiative which is based on active citizenship and corporate social responsibility created to help fighting poverty, mainly in the elderly. It is an independent, non-profit, non-governmental and, non-partisan institution.

MISSION

Manage a non-profit solidarity social fund in a transparent manner, funded by voluntary donations of citizens and businesses to support the elderly poor, through the distribution of social vouchers for medicines and basic goods, as well as promote and support social innovation projects with high social impact.

VISION

Making the elderly are no longer at risk of poverty and contribute to reduce social inequalities in Portugal.

COMMITMENT AND VALUE PROPOSTION
Improve the available resources of people over 65 with income of less than € 400 ;
Provide an efficient and secure payment method means through a prepaid card that the elderly poor can use in the purchase of medicines at local pharmacies;
Deliver 100 % of voluntary donations of businesses and citizens to the elderly poor;
Give feedback, allowing who delivers a social benefit to know when, how and to whom it was delivered;
Having accountability and transparency in the process.
